I hope you had a happy Independence Day, and that you’re enjoying all that summer has to offer. I’ve spent quite a bit of time indoors, in the recliner I write in, dreaming of the days ahead when I’ll finally have a bit of time to unwind at the beach. I’m looking forward to taking a little vacation to soak up the sun, smell the salt air, and sink my toes into the sand to celebrate finishing The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming).
Fortunately, (and finally!) it’s finished and making its way through the editorial process now. The countdown to launch day is on! I can see the finish line really getting closer, and I cannot wait to have this book buttoned up and in your hands in just two short months.
In case you missed last month’s update, The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) releases September 17 and is now available for preorder in a variety of locations.
You can reserve eBooks and audiobooks in my store, as well as at Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo.
Pre-orders of the print books are exclusively available via Fiction Addiction, my local independent bookstore, and will be available through all the usual retailers on launch day.
The audio version will be available on launch day with all the other versions.
I’m so excited to share that the official pre-launch party will take place on September 12 at Fiction Addiction here in Greenville, and tickets are now on sale. If you’ve ever been to one of my launch parties, we’re mixing things up just a bit. Gingersnaps Catering will be on hand as usual with a scrumptious buffet of foods from the book, and there will be wine and non-alcoholic drinks as well, as always. This time, I’ve carved out time to talk about the book a bit, in part because I’m always asked if I will, but it’s hard to make that happen once I’m signing books unless we’ve planned ahead.
Your ticket includes the appetizer buffet, drinks, the author talk, and one copy of the book. Couples tickets are also available for two that include one copy of the book. I so hope you can make it!
Right after the pre-launch party, my schedule takes me to a writer’s conference in Florida, but I will be embarking on a limited book tour during late September and October. As additional events are confirmed, I’m adding them to my website, so check back to see if I’m coming to your town and make plans to come say hello–I’d love to see you!
Because I must pivot quickly back to writing my spring release, I won’t be able to get out and about as much as I’d like. That said, I am planning a bigger tour for my April 2025 release. If there’s someplace you think I should definitely come, please drop me a note and let me know!
In other news, there are some new merch items in my store this month, and I’m so pleased to share that all t-shirts are now Comfort Colors® products, which many of you said you enjoyed. We also have new tote bags featuring the Stella Maris and Sullivan’s Island maps, and there are 110 piece puzzles with the gorgeous cover illustrations for the Carolina Tales series. Bookmarks, mugs, and sweatshirts are also still available, and there are handful of the original Stella Maris t-shirts still in stock too.
And last but certainly not least, for all who enjoy the monthly recipe feature, you will find a sneak preview recipe from The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming), Tallulah’s Fettuccine Alfredo, waiting for you this month.
