As 2024 draws to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the past 12 months and throughout my writing career. While I’m now focused on my 2025 goals, I am also extremely grateful for all that has happened this year. Readers like you make this adventure possible, and I would be remiss not to share my gratitude for you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here!
I’m hard at work writing and addressing a variety of administrative tasks to prepare for the release of Trouble’s Turn to Lose (forthcoming), the next book in the Carolina Tales Series in the spring. I cannot wait to share more about this book with everyone! I’ll have a cover to share in January—stay tuned!
This past month has seen my time split between writing and tending to my family both here and in North Carolina. I must thank the lovely folks who run The Beauty and The Bean in my hometown of Faith, North Carolina. Their delightful salon-and-coffee-shop combo has given me a great place to work on my manuscript between family situations and I have so enjoyed commandeering a quiet corner of the cafe as my office-away-from-home. It’s quite possible a similar business might show up in a novel…
With Christmas having come and gone, I hope that you embraced the chaos with joy. I am fortunate to have grown children and older grandchildren these days, so the holidays are now a collaborative affair. As I mentioned, I’ve been splitting much of my time these last few weeks between home and North Carolina, and have been enjoying a few nights in my own bed as well as precious time spent focusing on our family’s most cherished traditions.
Wishing you all the peace and joy of the season!
