Milton Literary Festival Author Panel
Join me at the third annual Milton Literary Festival on November 11, 2017!
I’ll be participating on a panel of Mystery Authors talking about “How Do They Do It.”
I’d love to see you there. The panel I’m participating in takes place at 2 PM.
Below are all the details of the full event.
About the Milton Literary Festival:
The Milton Literary Group, an active group of local authors, booksellers, and literature buffs, has assembled more than 40 best-selling authors who will be participating in this year’s event. After the city’s Veterans Day Breakfast at 8:00 a.m., keynote speaker, Bret Witter, co-author of The Monuments Men, will kick off the day at Milton City Hall at 10:00 am.
The festival offers a number of opportunities for readers and writers alike. Readers can meet authors at discussion panels on topics such as historical fiction, veterans as authors, mystery/suspense, and women’s fiction. Workshops for writers will focus on publishing, branding, memoir writing, and more. At lunch, New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews will join fans to speak about her life and work.
A new addition to the festival this year, Book an Author, features authors presenting their work in unique, three-minute rapid-fire presentations. This event is a wonderful opportunity for local book clubs to connect with local authors. At 5:30 p.m., the Literature Live Cabaret will begin at Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub. Authors will bring their characters to life through singing and acting as the audience enjoys the food and atmosphere of one of Milton’s favorite restaurants.
Finally, the festival will again feature the very popular Milton Book Trail. This mulch-laden trail, built by members and volunteers from the Milton Literary Group, is located behind The New Milton Library. While walking through the trail, kids and adults alike can enjoy reading pages out of a very popular children’s book selected for this year’s event. The trail is open year-round.
All festival events are free to the public.
