These photos were taken from my favorite spot in the little courtyard out front. (The first one actually faces the Mills House across the street.)

 Check out their website for photos of the lovely Victorian home turned restaurant, and the food–oh my stars–the food. My mouth is watering right now.

For me, Poogan’s Porch is one my go-to restaurants. I love going for lunch when the weather is nice. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, but I especially love their macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, and biscuits.

 Y’all I’m so excited about LOWCOUNTRY BONEYARD coming out in April I can hardly stand it! To celebrate, I’ve put together a sweepstakes for a fabulous weekend for two in beautiful Charleston, SC, voted the top U.S. travel destination for four years in a row—and now second in the world—by Conde Nast readers

There’s only going to be one prize, but it will include some of Liz’s favorite Charleston places and things.  We’re going to start with one item in the package, a two night stay at the historic John Rutledge House Inn during the summer season. Each week, I’ll add something to the package—some weeks big things, some weeks smaller, fun items. Announcements will be made on my Facebook page and on this blog.

We’ll have a drawing for the winner at the LOWCOUNTRY BONEYARD launch party on April 21^st at Fiction Addiction in Greenville, SC. The party is from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm–y’all come if you can. We’ll be serving refreshing beverages and nibbles. The drawing will take place at approximately 6:00 pm.
