On Hard Things, Blessings, and a Holy City Smoke
Is it just me, or is time racing by faster every month? I simply cannot believe that 2025 is here and January is gone! My head is positively spinning.
I generally keep my posts upbeat and cheerful, because who on Earth needs anything sobering to read right now? But today, I have to share some hard things with you, because it impacts my schedule. When an author moves a release date and cancels events, she owes her readers an explanation.
I know, we’ve been here before, haven’t we? The past several years have been quite challenging for our family. You may recall that I lost my mother to cancer a year ago this past October, and I know I’ve shared with y’all that she was my dad’s primary caretaker, and that he has Alzheimer’s. Today, as I’m writing this on Friday, is my mom’s birthday. She would’ve been eighty-two.
This is by no means the primary calamity in my world, but it’s also not insignificant to me that my last two books have suffered schedule changes and canceled tour dates due to our ongoing family health crises. Recently, our family has dealt with another plot twist.
The same week that Helene blew through the Carolinas, my grown son who lives with us (no, he’s not Deacon, if you’ve read The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club) had an episode we would later learn was a seizure. Because he’s the picture of health, very fit, at first none of us panicked. When he had the second seizure a week later, my granddaughter was with him and called 911. The ambulance had to park down the street and take him out via a go-cart-type vehicle because all the large trees and power lines down in our neighborhood from the storm made the streets impassable.
The scans they did at the hospital showed something in his brain the doctors at first called a spot, then a lesion, and later a tumor. My baby–his name is Brandon–had brain surgery in Charlotte in October. After a few weeks of healing and waiting for pathology results, he underwent six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation starting just before Thanksgiving and ending right after New Year’s. Brandon and I stayed with family in North Carolina during his treatment at Levine Cancer Institute / Atrium Health.
Because he’s young and otherwise healthy, he weathered the treatment as well as anyone could have, with minimal side effects, thanks be to God. We have been so blessed, and I am so grateful for this and many other blessings…that we had family we could stay with close to Brandon’s care team…the doctors, nurses, and technicians that make up his phenomenal care team at Levine are nothing short of amazing…his really solid health insurance that has made it possible for him to get the best care…the company he works for, which provides him with this excellent coverage…and the ongoing prayers of so many friends and family. We have much to be thankful for.
We’re praying hard that he’s beaten this thing down and it never rears its ugly head again. But he will have to have scans every two months for the rest of his life, we’re told. I think it’s safe to say all of our lives have been forever changed over the last several months.
Nevertheless, we’re all striving for as much normalcy as we can get every day. Brandon works every day and loves his job, though his energy is sapped from the treatments and he does take frequent naps. My granddaughters are going to school and work, Sugar continues to work and travel, and I am at my desk most days now that we’re home.
I’m so sorry to over-share and burden you with all of that, but I risk you thinking I don’t take my work seriously if I keep moving deadlines and canceling events and don’t fully explain.
So…as you might imagine, I’m behind. Trouble’s Turn to Lose (forthcoming), the next book in the Carolina Tales Series, will release June 24 , 2025 instead of April 8 as originally planned. If you have already preordered from any retailer, you should receive a notice from the retailer that the preorder has been canceled. I’m so sorry, but I have no choice here as I need more than sixty additional days, and one of the retailers will only allow a sixty-day extension.
In the midst of everything, my work is my refuge, and I am so excited about this book. Because life has repeatedly shown me that uncertainty is certain, I don’t plan to offer preorders in the future. It’s just too stressful when a release date has to move. I apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that those of you who preordered to please order the book again when it’s released.
Because of everything I’ve shared, and the unpredictable nature of my life right now, I’ve canceled all of my planned events for 2025 with the exception of a few multi-author events (festivals, conventions, et. cetera) which won’t be negatively affected should I have to cancel last minute. I know you understand that family comes first, and I just can’t run the risk of leaving an organization in the lurch with no speaker for a luncheon or what have you.
Okay…shifting back to happy things…and I have to add here that our household is committed to finding the joy in every single day.
First, I’m thrilled to share that we’re still on track for a cover reveal for Trouble’s Turn to Lose (forthcoming) very soon, so please stay tuned for that!
While I have limited my schedule of events this year, I was able to squeeze in a few last month. The timing just worked out, between the end of Brandon’s treatment and when we next have to be in Charlotte for scans and appointments. It was wonderful to get out and see folks while I had the opportunity! In addition to a couple private events, I spent a lovely afternoon with the Surf Golf Club Book Club in North Myrtle Beach, and I was delighted to join Caroline Cleveland and Roger Jones at Mary Alice Monroe’s Wild Dunes Author Event Kickoff Party as well.
Confession…in the wake of the chaos that has been my world over the past three years, my email inbox has gotten completely out of control. If you emailed me and didn’t receive a reply, please know this is not normally how I operate. When things are on an even keel in my world, I answer every single reader email, usually the same day it comes in. It makes my day to hear from readers!
That said, I’m ashamed to say, I recently had a little bubble on my phone to tell me I had more than 1,200 unread emails! (This might have caused a rash on my arms.) I’ve spent the last several weeks getting my situation under control, but with an inbox that contains business correspondence, marketing emails, phishing emails, newsletters from everywhere I do business, et cetera, I know I missed a few lovely notes from readers. Several of you have recently received replies that are two years or more late. Y’all, I am so, so sorry!
Because there were some good questions among the emails, I’ve started a new feature called, “Questions From The Inbox.” For queries which seem to be something other people might wonder about as well, I’m answering the questions on short videos. I’ll share them on YouTube and Facebook. I’m having fun with these! You can check out the first one here if you’d care to.
Last, but not least, by special request–and to save one poor husband’s left arm (his wife emailed to offer it to me for this recipe)– you’ll find the Holy City Smoke cocktail now available among my recipes! This is Sugar’s spin on our favorite drink served at Hank’s and featured in Big Trouble on Sullivan’s Island. While we did get the ingredient list from an inside source, Sugar had to employ a lot of trial and error to get the proportions just right. It may not be exact, but it tastes good to us and I’m delighted to share. If you mix one up and give it a try, I do hope that you enjoy it!
Thank you so much for reading as I’ve poured my heart here. I appreciate you more than I can adequately express. And I’m looking forward to a season with less stormy weather and calmer waters, where I can regularly put out books and travel to meet readers. I have faith that I’ll get back to that place. As they say, every storm runs out of rain.
Wishing you and yours smooth sailing throughout 2025 and beyond.
On Book Tours and Interviews
I hope your fall season is shaping up beautifully! For those of you in my neck of the woods and in the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina and Tennessee, I continue to pray for the clean-up and recovery efforts. Autumn looks a bit different here this year, and my thoughts are still with y’all.
I have a handful of appearances left before wrapping up the abbreviated book tour in support of The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club and I’m so looking forward to seeing those of you who will be coming out for those. It’s been so much fun meeting and catching up with both new and longtime readers these last few weeks!
This month in The Lowcountry Book Club, The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club is center stage as the book of the month and I am so excited to hear what everyone thought about it! My friend and fellow author, Susan Beckham Zurenda, who many of you will recognize from the Two Southern Susans book discussions, is interviewing me this month. In light of Halloween falling on a Thursday, this month’s discussion video was posted today at 10:00 a.m. Eastern in The Lowcountry Book Club and on my YouTube channel. I hope you’ll watch and leave your comments on either platform when you can!
The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club is now available!
Launch day has arrived! The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club is now available at all major retailers and in my store in eBook and print formats. Audiobooks will be available on October 4!
I am so thrilled with the early feedback on this book. Here are some spoiler-free reactions that have just warmed my heart:
“An engaging mash-up of women’s fiction and mystery, the mysteries are intriguing and fun, but the heart of the story is the exploration of the Supper Club members’ lives and their bonds. The character development for the large cast is incredibly well done. They leap off the page, making you feel like an insider to their histories, problems, loves, warmth, strength, and deep friendships. The cast is mainly comprised of mature characters who experience real and relatable issues, and there is even a sweet romance to round out the story. The dialogue is witty and showcases the characters Southern charm.” – ReadThisAndSteep, Goodreads
“Susan Boyer, with her creative writing skills and vivid imagination will pull you in and entertain you from the first page to the last… You are going to love it! I sure did!” – Bjmb, Goodreads
“Once again, Susan Boyer has written a book that will be in my top five for the year. If you’ve read her Liz Talbot Lowcountry series you will love the Carolina series too.” – Momof3, Amazon
“I am quite sure I would read any and everything Ms. Boyer writes. Her characters are all of the women I’ve known all of my life in the South and reading this feels like catching up with old friends.” – Pirate Patty Reviews, Amazon

On Prequels and Launch Day Preparations
With summer waning and Labor Day just around the corner, I can hardly believe that I’ve reached the home stretch of preparing The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) for launch and that we’re now less than one month away from release! Edits are complete, the audiobook is in production, and the launch party is scheduled. I am beyond excited to hear what you all think of this book and am quite anxious to have it out in the world in just a few more weeks.
If you’re anywhere near Greenville, South Carolina, on September 12, I hope you’ll join us for the launch party at Fiction Addition and the Wine & Design next door. Tickets are available here, and include a copy of the book, an appetizer buffet with food from the book, and celebratory beverages. I so hope you can make it!
I have a few other appearances scheduled, but unfortunately not as many as I’d like. This tour will be abbreviated so I can pivot back to writing for my spring release–stay tuned for more information on that, and check out the complete list of confirmed events by clicking here. I am hoping to add a stop somewhere in the Mount Pleasant / Sullivan’s Island area, but the timing is tricky.
In other news, I have a bit of a surprise to share! As I was wrapping up the edits, it became necessary to cut a few scenes from the book. This always disappoints me, but it was best for the book and I always want to publish the best version of a book that I possibly can. Fortunately, the deleted scenes are now available as a short prequel of sorts, which I’ve titled Beginnings – The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club. That is now available exclusively as an eBook in my store and at all major retailers. But please note, if you’re new to the Carolina Tales series, I highly recommend that you read Big Trouble on Sullivan’s Island first.
Also, there is a Goodreads Giveaway happening for copies of The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) if you’d like to try and win one! Ten signed print copies are available, and the contest runs through Monday, September 16. Good luck to those of you who enter!
Finally for my fellow foodies, I do hope that you’ll forgive the lack of a new recipe this month as I focus on the final preparations for launch day.
On Launch Parties, Preorders, and Fettuccine Alfredo
I hope you had a happy Independence Day, and that you’re enjoying all that summer has to offer. I’ve spent quite a bit of time indoors, in the recliner I write in, dreaming of the days ahead when I’ll finally have a bit of time to unwind at the beach. I’m looking forward to taking a little vacation to soak up the sun, smell the salt air, and sink my toes into the sand to celebrate finishing The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming).
Fortunately, (and finally!) it’s finished and making its way through the editorial process now. The countdown to launch day is on! I can see the finish line really getting closer, and I cannot wait to have this book buttoned up and in your hands in just two short months.
In case you missed last month’s update, The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) releases September 17 and is now available for preorder in a variety of locations.
You can reserve eBooks and audiobooks in my store, as well as at Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo.
Pre-orders of the print books are exclusively available via Fiction Addiction, my local independent bookstore, and will be available through all the usual retailers on launch day.
The audio version will be available on launch day with all the other versions.
I’m so excited to share that the official pre-launch party will take place on September 12 at Fiction Addiction here in Greenville, and tickets are now on sale. If you’ve ever been to one of my launch parties, we’re mixing things up just a bit. Gingersnaps Catering will be on hand as usual with a scrumptious buffet of foods from the book, and there will be wine and non-alcoholic drinks as well, as always. This time, I’ve carved out time to talk about the book a bit, in part because I’m always asked if I will, but it’s hard to make that happen once I’m signing books unless we’ve planned ahead.
Your ticket includes the appetizer buffet, drinks, the author talk, and one copy of the book. Couples tickets are also available for two that include one copy of the book. I so hope you can make it!
Right after the pre-launch party, my schedule takes me to a writer’s conference in Florida, but I will be embarking on a limited book tour during late September and October. As additional events are confirmed, I’m adding them to my website, so check back to see if I’m coming to your town and make plans to come say hello–I’d love to see you!
Because I must pivot quickly back to writing my spring release, I won’t be able to get out and about as much as I’d like. That said, I am planning a bigger tour for my April 2025 release. If there’s someplace you think I should definitely come, please drop me a note and let me know!
In other news, there are some new merch items in my store this month, and I’m so pleased to share that all t-shirts are now Comfort Colors® products, which many of you said you enjoyed. We also have new tote bags featuring the Stella Maris and Sullivan’s Island maps, and there are 110 piece puzzles with the gorgeous cover illustrations for the Carolina Tales series. Bookmarks, mugs, and sweatshirts are also still available, and there are handful of the original Stella Maris t-shirts still in stock too.
And last but certainly not least, for all who enjoy the monthly recipe feature, you will find a sneak preview recipe from The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming), Tallulah’s Fettuccine Alfredo, waiting for you this month. It’s a very rich dish so be forewarned. If you give it a try, please let me know how it turns out and if you enjoy it as much as we do!
On Deadlines and Air-Fried Tomatoes
Can you believe that summer has arrived? I’d claim not to know how time flies so quickly, but for me this year has been a blur. Between writing and launch preparations and caring for my family, it feels to me like Christmas and New Year’s were just a few short weeks ago.
The great news is that I am nearly finished with The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) and I have selected a launch date for it at last. Mark your calendars for September 17, when the eBook, print, and audiobook formats will all be live! The eBook is widely available for preorder and the audiobook is available in my store. For those interested in print, the exclusive print preorder will be available soon via my local independent bookstore, Fiction Addiction.
Because I’m officially on deadline now, I’m afraid I don’t have anything to report this month in the way of events, but I am thrilled to share some other book-related news! I recently received word that Big Trouble on Sullivan’s Island was awarded the 2024 Independent Publisher Book Awards Silver Medal in the category of Southeast Regional Fiction! It was also selected as a 2024 National Indie Excellence Award finalist in the same category. To say that I’m honored is an understatement.
Finally, those of you who love the monthly recipe feature will find Gavin’s Air Fried Tomatoes waiting for you here. This is a vegan adaptation of a Southern classic and the tomatoes turned out deliciously. If you decide to test the recipe in your own kitchen, do let me know if you enjoy it as much as we did!
On Book Covers, Merch, and Macaroni & Cheese
Time sure flies when you’re writing a book. I can hardly believe that we’re through the month of May. A very happy belated Mother’s Day to everyone, whether you are a mother or love a mother. I spent Mother’s Day on my own in Folly Beach, on a retreat with a group of author friends. This year was difficult as it was our first Mother’s Day without Mom. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful memories I have, and will of course carry her in my heart always. I’m sending all my love to those of you who are missing your mothers too. Of course I heard from our children and some of the grandkids too, and I do realize how richly blessed I am.
While I wrap up my work on The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming), I do have the gorgeous cover for this book, and what’s more, there is a brand new cover for Big Trouble on Sullivan’s Island as well! Just click on the titles here to have a peek!
Last month I shared that I was working on launching merchandise for my store, and I’m delighted to announce that those items are now live and available for purchase! I even have a handful of the original Stella Maris, SC T-shirts available for those of you who loved that design. If you’d like to have a coffee mug, shirt, or tote bag, you can shop those anytime right here. We’ll also be adding more items in the weeks ahead.
I had a blast at my most recent in-person appearance at the Little River Blue Crab Festival in Little River, SC. I shared a booth with my friend and fellow author Caleb Wygal and we both so appreciated seeing those of you who stopped by to have a book signed and chat with us throughout the weekend.
Last but certainly not least, the update my fellow foodies have been waiting for! This month you’ll find Gavin’s House Macaroni & Cheese recipe has been added to my catalog of recipes. Check it out by clicking here. If you decide to give it a try, please be sure to send me a note and let me know if you enjoy it!
On Busyness, Business, and Books
I hope spring has sprung for you and yours. It’s been lovely here, and I’ve enjoyed getting out. To those of you who made it out to my most recent event at the Lancaster County Literary Arts Festival on April 13th, I so enjoyed our time together. I was especially delighted that the local library gave away one hundred copies of Lowcountry Boil prior to the event. Chatting with folks about all things Liz Talbot (and Hadley Cooper, of course) was a great way to take a break from writing, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support!
As I’ve shared in previous posts, I am still very focused on getting all the words on the page for The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming). This story has captured my imagination and has been so much fun to write, but I confess the words are coming slowly, in part due to the nature of this book, which will be told from multiple points of view rather than just one as all my previous books have been. It’s still not quite time to select a launch date. Fortunately, many of the behind-the-scenes things that go into publishing a book are really shaping up now too, and as these details continue to come together I get closer and closer to the finish line. Next month I will have both a cover and synopsis to share with y’all while you wait!
Exciting News! I am also working on launching a variety of items in addition to the books for my store. So many of you have reached out over the years and asked about art prints, coffee mugs, T-shirts and the like that I simply couldn’t ignore your requests any longer. (You may have seen the original Stella Maris T-shirts online–perhaps you even have one. We’re revamping these as a part of this project.) If you’ve ever wanted one, or perhaps a Liz Talbot tote bag, then be sure to watch this space in the weeks ahead for more information on fun new additions to my store!
Finally, an apology to my fellow cooking enthusiasts. Y’all may have heard me say I cook the way my mother and grandmother did–a little of this, a little of that…taste it…add more of this… et cetera. So, in order to share a new recipe, I have to make the dish and write down what I did. As my writing and launch preparations take up as much of my time as I can spare, I simply wasn’t able to test a recipe to feature this month. I’ll have a new one for you all very soon, and in the meantime, you can always find my collection of previously shared dishes right here on my website.
On Spring, Company Trips, and Crispy Potatoes
Here in my neck of the woods, spring is in full swing, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s no secret that I love the holidays, but the lengthy stretch of winter after the new year really makes me long for extra daylight and porch reading weather. I’m thrilled that both are gradually getting here, and I hope we’ll all be enjoying the new season very soon.
I continue to work on The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming), but I still haven’t chosen a release date for it. As expected, life has gotten in the way recently, and while I am confident that I’ll be finished soon, I am still juggling a few too many things to commit to a launch date just yet.
Before you feel bad for me, I need to tell you that this month’s biggest interruption was accompanying Sugar on a company trip to Cabo San Lucas. The company he works for organizes a working trip biannually for employees and their spouses. In addition to the meetings, we went on a whale watching excursion and enjoyed several group events. Many of these folks I haven’t seen since the last company trip two years ago, so while I had a fabulous time catching up with everyone, as you might imagine, I didn’t get many words on the page. It was our first time in Cabo and the trip was wonderful.
Next month, I’m attending the Lancaster County Literary Arts Festival in Lancaster, South Carolina. The festival takes place on Saturday, April 13th and begins at 11:00 A.M. Eastern. I am honored that the festival is spotlighting Lowcountry Boil, and I hope that if you’re in the area, you’ll come out and join us. The Lancaster County Council of the Arts and the Lancaster Library are currently giving away copies of Lowcountry Boil in preparation for the event! The event is free and open to the public, so check out the complete details here and make plans to attend.
In case you missed it, the second edition of Lowcountry Bombshell is now available in audiobook format, and you get a copy in my store as well as at all the usual retailers. It’s available at Audible, Apple, Libby, and Hoopla.
Finally, foodie friends will be glad to know that there is a new recipe this month! We took a poll in the Lowcountry Book Club, and the most asked for recipe was the Crispy Potatoes with dip from the Whole Food Plant-Based table at Eugenia’s funeral reception. You’ll find Crispy Potatoes with Vegan Caramelized Onion Dip waiting for you here. Confession: this recipe does have a very small amount of olive oil, but it can be omitted if you prefer. This is a great appetizer, snack, or side dish. For those who try this one out, please let me know how you like it!
On Reader Events and Chicken Bog
I’m gradually making progress on The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming), but as you may recall, I’ve also been on a campaign of protecting my sanity by continuing to stay flexible about when exactly I’ll be releasing this book. Thank you so much for your patience while I take care of family needs and try to find some balance. Please stay tuned. The book is coming soon, I promise.
I am taking time away from writing to squeeze in two quick personal appearances this month to meet and visit with readers. I’ll be signing books at the Barnes & Noble Market Common in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 24 from noon to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. I’m also attending Books Over Drinks with Hank Phillippi Ryan at M. Judson Booksellers in Greenville on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. There hasn’t been time for me to participate in any reader events since before Christmas, and I’m very excited to see those of you who can attend.
Audiobook readers, if you haven’t listened to Lowcountry Bombshell, the second book in the Liz Talbot Mystery series, the second edition is now available in my store as well as all the usual outlets, including Audible, Apple, Libby, Hoopla
For those who enjoy my recipes, I haven’t forgotten about you. You’ll find Eugenia’s Chicken Bog right here on the website. This is as much a production as it is a recipe, but it’s also a showstopper. If you ask Eugenia, it’s a dish that invites you to be creative, provided you aren’t a purist. Whatever your take, you can make chicken bog for any event, or just to impress your regular mealtime companions. If you try it, please let me know how you like it!
On the New Year, and New Books!
I confess I’m a bit gobsmacked that it’s actually already 2024. Last year was unbelievably difficult for my family, but it also seemed to flash by in a blur. If you’re anything like me, you find yourself frequently wondering where time goes. Then again, I am often so busy that special occasions, holidays, and milestones sneak up on me regularly. In any case, I hope this brand new year is treating you and yours well.
With the holidays behind us for yet another year, I’m more focused than ever on The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming). That said, I’m realizing now it was a mistake (given my ongoing family situation–my dad’s health and other crises) to set a firm release date. There are things simply out of my control, and every time I need to be with my family for a few days, or a week, I’m having a stress attack, which doesn’t help my productivity when I’m back at my desk.
There’s quite a lot that goes into a book beyond the writing–several types of editing, cover design (more on that very soon!), formatting, getting early reviews, marketing and promotion, and on and on. I love having my own imprint, and being the decision maker on all aspects of the book. But it’s been a process for me, learning what I must delegate (everything but the writing). Delegating is necessary, but then I’m working with other professionals’ schedules and calendars, not just my own. I will get better at this, I promise. In the meantime, I’m proactively protecting my sanity.
So, The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) will be released sometime in the first half of 2024. It might be April 16, as originally planned. It may be May, or even June, depending on how things go. I’m thinking life is too short for self-inflicted stress, so I may do this every release–announce a general release date, then get more specific as things unfold.
This book has really captured my imagination and I have some big things planned for the launch. Despite how quickly the days seem to pass, I cannot wait to share this new book with all of you! Keep your eyes on this space for updates.
Audiobook lovers, I’m so happy to share that the second edition audiobook of Lowcountry Bombshell, narrated by the very talented Tiffany Morgan, is now live in my store. You can start listening today, or you can preorder a copy from your favorite major retailer ahead of its January 26 general release.
For those of you who enjoy signed paperbacks, I hope you’ll be as excited as I am that all of my titles are now available in print in my store. You can order any or all of the Liz Talbot Series books in paperback, signed by me and personalized to your preferences. I also have hardcover and digital copies of Lowcountry Boil, Lowcountry Bombshell, Lowcountry Getaway, Postcards from Stella Maris, and Big Trouble on Sullivan’s Island available.
Introducing the Worldwide Headquarters of Stella Maris Books, LLC!
Have you ever wondered what the Worldwide Headquarters of Stella Maris Books, LLC looks like? I’m delighted to finally give y’all a look inside the space where I do almost all of my work these days! It’s hard to believe we’ve now been in this house a year.
A local carpenter (who is much in demand and has had a host of challenges this year) has been working on bookcases for my office since late June. Finally, last week he (mostly) finished the install. While there is one final section to go in behind my desk in early 2024, I am thrilled with the impact this project has already made on my workspace, and I am overjoyed to finally have my books unpacked and on display once again.
Now, as you might imagine, these improvements have interrupted my writing just a bit, but I am still focused on The Sullivan’s Island Supper Club (forthcoming) and making as much progress on the next Carolina Tale as I can. With April 16 less than four months away now, there’s certainly no time to lose!

The Stella Maris Bookstore is Now Open!
I now have an online store! You can purchase books directly from me in any format, including ebook, trade paperback, hardcover, large print, and audio. All books purchased directly from me will be at better prices than can be found elsewhere. Soon I’ll be adding other items that I think you’ll like.
